Ulla Jordan has a Finnish-Canadian background and was raised on tales of the Finnish Winter War. She has researched Finland’s role in World War II extensively and written a novel, Lost Ground, set during the Winter War. Her background includes teaching and English Literature at the University of Alberta. Writing is a vital aspect of her life and a way to keep her family’s stories alive.

Ulla you might not know me, but Willi and myself where friends of Wolfgang’s parents.
we know Wolfgang and Ingrid since they where children. we moved to Kelowna in 1973
Wolfgang let us know when his mother passed away but after that we lost contact .
